Resolution Companion is designed with your privacy as a top priority. We believe your personal growth journey is deeply personal, and we've built our app to keep it that way.

The Short Version

Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or track your personal information. The only exception is when you use AI features, which are processed by OpenAI (see details below).

Information We Don't Collect

  • No Account Required: Use the app without creating an account or providing personal information.
  • No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use analytics tools, trackers, or any data collection mechanisms.
  • No Data Sharing: We never sell, share, or transfer your information to third parties.

What Stays on Your Device

All of your personal data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage:

  • Your Target Persona and personal growth goals
  • All benchmarks and elemental actions you create
  • Your daily logs and progress history
  • Momentum chains and alignment metrics
  • App settings and preferences

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to use AI features.

AI Features & OpenAI

Our AI coaching and onboarding features are powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o model, a third-party AI service. When you use these features, your conversation messages are sent to OpenAI for processing.

What You Should Know About OpenAI

  • Not Used for Training: OpenAI does not use API data to train or improve their models.
  • Temporary Retention: OpenAI retains API data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then permanently deletes it.
  • No Human Review: Your conversations are not reviewed by humans unless flagged for safety concerns.
  • We Don't Store It: Resolution Companion does not store your AI conversations on our servers.

Subscription & Payments

If you choose to subscribe to Resolution Companion Premium:

  • Payments are processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • We never see, access, or store your payment information.
  • Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Hosting & Infrastructure

Resolution Companion is hosted on Replit, a trusted cloud platform used by millions of developers worldwide. Replit employs industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure data centers
  • Regular security audits

Children's Privacy

Resolution Companion is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
